Summary of Position:
The shop mechanic position requires pressure washing and inspecting all equipment in their entirety in a timely and safe manner. This position would require an independent and detailed orientated person. The shop mechanic will take care of the day-to-day cleaning of all equipment and will be trained to take on the role of inspections of equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Inspecting machines after equipment has been cleaned
• Complete necessary repairs to pass inspection
• Pressure wash equipment for to return to the job
• Vacuum cabs, clean interior surfaces, and wash glass.
• Maintain the wash area by cleaning and organizing it routinely.
• Follow all safety procedures and use equipment properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Forklift experience
• Clean DMV record
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Detail orientated
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to perform physical labor
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
• Stand, climb, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Safely operate and work around sharp tools and power equipment.
• Work in a variety of weather conditions and outdoor environments.
• Tolerate moderate to loud noise levels.
• Communicate clearly and hear instructions in a busy environment.
• Maintain manual dexterity, balance, and strong hand‑eye coordination.
